The Director General of the Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA), Hon. Mohammed Isa Bello, has expressed his commitment to repositioning the agency for optimal performance.
Speaking during an inspection tour of the agency’s headquarters in Nyanya Gwandara, Karu Local Government Area, on Tuesday, January 15, 2025, Bello emphasized the importance of functional equipment in effective waste management.
“We cannot effectively manage waste without functional equipment,” he stated, adding that the inspection was aimed at assessing the condition of the agency’s trucks and facilities.
Bello also interacted with a contractor handling the evaluation of waste bins in the area, Salisu Umar, who pledged to work with the agency to achieve success.
The Director General called for teamwork among staff, stressing that it would promote hard work and commitment.
He also promised to prioritize staff welfare.
The inspection tour is seen as a step towards repositioning the agency for better service delivery.
