The Director General of the Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA), Mohammed Bello Isa, has pledged to transform the organization through purposeful leadership.
Speaking during an interactive session with journalists and management staff at his office in Nyanya Gwandara, Karu Local Government Area, Isa expressed his commitment to delivering on his mandate.
Isa commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for entrusting him with the responsibility to lead the organization, promising to ensure that the people of Nasarawa State maintain a good sanitary environment.
He disclosed that NASWAMSA will collaborate closely with the Ministry of Environment to achieve success.
The NASWAMSA boss appealed to staff and relevant agencies to support the organization’s activities, despite the challenges posed by non-functional equipment.
“This is the year of hard work, and I will ensure that our staff are motivated to improve their dedication to work,” Isa said.
He assured that efforts will be made to repair the faulty equipment to enable them to function effectively.
Isa emphasized the need for a cordial working relationship between NASWAMSA and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to sustain the monthly sanitation exercise across the state.
As a former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Isa took over as DG NASWAMSA from Barr. Abubakar Aliyu Madaki, the present Chairman of Karu Local Government Area.
